Q. Are Ruhe Diverter Upper Parts compatible with other brands' diverters?
A. All Ruhe Diverter Upper Parts are compatible with Ruhe Diverters. However, we advise you to look into and match the specifications of the upper parts and diverters of other brands with that of Ruhe, before you make a purchase.

Q. How does the Big Handle Function?
A. When you pull and push the big handle it starts and stops the flow of water completely. Moving the handle left and right allows you to get Hot and Cold water flow.

Q. What is the function of the knob?
A. The knob is designed to control the water flow to your desired outlet. With diverters that facilitate switching between two outlets—such as the Overhead Shower and the Tap—turning the knob left or right allows you to select where you want the water directed at any given time.

Q. What is the difference between a 2-inlet diverter and a 2-inlet (High-Flow) Diverter?
A. The primary difference lies in the cartridge size. A standard 2-inlet diverter uses a 40mm cartridge, while a 2-inlet (High-Flow) Diverter uses a 46mm cartridge. The larger cartridge in the High-Flow model allows more water to pass through, making it ideal for homes with overhead tanks at lower heights, as it can enhance water flow.

A. A 3-inlet (5-way) diverter is designed to draw water from three different sources—such as an overhead tank, a motor or submersible pump, and a geyser—and direct it to two outlets, typically an overhead shower and a spout or tap. This setup provides versatility and convenience in managing water flow to multiple fixtures.

Q. Why is a 3-inlet diverter also called a 5-way Diverter?
A. A 3-inlet and 2-outlet diverter is referred to as a 5-way diverter because it enables water flow through five different pathways: three inlets and two outlets. This design allows for comprehensive control over water sourcing and distribution in a bathroom setup.

Q. Is a diverter better than a wall mixer tap?
A. Whether a diverter is better than a wall mixer tap depends on your needs. A diverter offers more precise control over directing water between different outlets, which is ideal for multifunctional shower systems. A wall mixer tap, however, is generally simpler and controls the mix of hot and cold water but typically to a single outlet.
