Upgrading your bathroom with a sleek, single handle faucet can be a rewarding DIY project. Not only does it add a touch of elegance, but it also enhances functionality. In this guide, we’ll walk through the steps to install a new bathroom basin faucet. Tools and Materials Needed

  • Single Handle Bathroom Faucet
  • Adjustable Wrench
  • Teflon Tape
  • PVC Coupler
  • Braided Pipes (Hot and Cold)

Step 1: Preparing the Basin

Before you begin, ensure that the basin is ready for installation. If it doesn't already have one, you’ll need to cut a hole of approximately 30 to 32 mm in diameter. This is where your new faucet will be seated.

Step 2: Placing the Faucet

Carefully place the faucet into the hole. Most modern faucets, especially the best brass faucets available online, come with a gasket that sits between the faucet and the basin, ensuring a water-tight seal. Ensure it's aligned correctly.

Step 3: Securing the Faucet

Underneath the basin, you'll need to fix a PVC coupler. This helps to secure the faucet above. Tighten it firmly to ensure stability, but be careful not to over-tighten as this can damage the coupler or the basin.

Step 4: Connecting the Braided Pipes

Your faucet will have two inlets for hot and cold water. Connect the respective braided pipes to these inlets. These pipes are usually flexible and can be maneuvered easily for a proper fit. Ensure each connection is tight and secure, using Teflon tape to prevent any leaks.

Step 5: Attaching Pipes to the Angle Valve

The final step is to connect these pipes to the corresponding angle valves for hot and cold water. This is where you need your adjustable wrench. Tighten the connections to ensure they are secure and leak-proof.

Test Your Installation

Once everything is connected, slowly turn on the water valves to check for any leaks. Adjust as necessary. Now, you’re ready to enjoy the convenience and style of your new single handle faucet!
