  • What is included in the box with the Ruhe Piano smart kitchen sink? The Piano ships as a complete kit: one 304-grade stainless steel bowl, sink coupling, 30-inch PVC waste pipe, pull-out mixer faucet, automatic cup washer, RO tap, soap dispenser, chopping board, strainer basket, adjustable vegetable basket, plus connection and drainage pipes. Nothing further is needed except plumbing labour.
  • Does the Piano smart sink need a pressure pump? Yes. The Piano needs a 1-1.5 HP pressure pump fitted at the overhead tank, delivering 2.5-3 bar. A 15-24 litre pressure tank is recommended. Without this, the waterfall outlets, cup washer and pull-out spray will run weakly. Most Indian homes on gravity-fed overhead tanks will need one installed.
  • What is the difference between the Ruhe Piano and Opera smart kitchen sinks? Both are 30 x 18 x 9 inch, 1.2 mm SS 304 sinks with dual waterfalls, an RO tap and a cup washer. Piano uses rectangular keys with two knobs, one for temperature, one for quick-drain and comes in black or silver. Opera uses round buttons, a single knob and a dedicated drain button, in black only.
  • Can the Piano smart sink be installed as an undermount sink? No. The Piano is designed for top-mount installation only, because the piano key panel and faucet mountings sit on the sink deck. Undermount fitting is not supported. Ruhe publishes an installation manual and video for the Piano, and paid home installation can be added at checkout.
  • How do I clean the black PVD finish on the Piano sink? Use mild soap, water and a soft sponge or cloth, then wipe dry after each use to stop hard-water spotting. Avoid bleach, acids and abrasive scrubbers, which strip PVD coating. Clean the X-grooves and drain area periodically so water drains freely and mineral deposits do not build up.
  • What is the warranty on the Piano smart kitchen sink? The sink bowl carries a 25-year warranty. Smart accessories, the pull-out faucet, RO tap, cup washer and digital display, are covered for 2 years, as are the coupling, waste pipe and vegetable basket. Returns and exchanges are accepted up to 30 days from delivery.
  • Is a 30 x 18 x 9 inch sink too large for an Indian modular kitchen? It suits a standard 24-inch-deep Indian counter. The sink body measures 750 mm wide, so the base cabinet must be wider than that, with clearance on both sides for the cutout. At 215 mm deep, the bowl takes pressure cookers and large kadhais easily. For shorter cabinet runs, consider the 24-inch Nano.
  • Why does the Piano cost more than a plain stainless steel sink? You are paying for the integrated system, not just the bowl. The Piano replaces a separate sink, kitchen mixer, RO tap and glass rinser, and the RO tap alone is tested to 500,000 operations. The bowl is 1.2 mm SS 304 with 8% nickel and carries a 25-year warranty.
