How large is the 45 x 20 x 9 inch quartz double bowl sink? The body measures 1143 x 508 x 230 mm with two large bowls of roughly 422 x 508 mm each. It is the widest sink in this quartz range and needs a long cabinet run. For most Indian kitchens, it suits an island or a dedicated wash zone rather than a short galley counter.
What colours is this quartz sink available in? Two shades: Sand Pluto and Smoke Grey. Both are pigmented through the quartz-resin body rather than surface-coated, so the colour does not wear off at the rim or chip at the edges. Sand Pluto reads warmer and lighter; Smoke Grey is the neutral pick for grey and white kitchens.
Is quartz suitable for heavy daily Indian cooking? Yes. The 14 mm quartz-and-resin body withstands heat up to 279°C, so a hot pan off the burner will not mark it, and it is impact-resistant to 950 kg. It is non-porous, so masala and turmeric sit on the surface instead of soaking in. Rinse and dry after cooking.
Does a quartz sink make less noise than stainless steel? Yes, noticeably. Quartz is dense, so it absorbs the sound of running water and clattering utensils through the material itself rather than relying on pads and coatings. In an open kitchen or a flat where the kitchen adjoins the living area, this is one of the strongest arguments for quartz.
Can this sink be undermounted? Yes, it supports top-mount and undermount installation. Undermount gives a seamless counter edge. At 1143 mm wide, a quartz double bowl full of water is heavy; insist that your fabricator installs proper support brackets under the counter and does not rely on silicone adhesive alone.
What is included in the box? You get the double bowl sink, two stainless steel couplings, a 30-inch PVC waste pipe, an adjustable vegetable basket and a double bowl connector. The faucet is not included and is chosen separately. Home installation can be added as a paid service at checkout.
How should I clean and maintain a quartz sink? Wash with mild soap and a soft sponge, then dry the bowl. Avoid bleach, acidic descalers and abrasive pads; these attack the resin that binds the quartz. For hard-water marks, mild detergent and repeated drying work better than a strong chemical. Never leave standing water overnight.
What warranty comes with this quartz sink? The sink bowl is covered for 25 years. The couplings, waste pipe and adjustable vegetable basket carry a 2-year warranty. Returns and exchanges are accepted up to 30 days. Ruhe also offers free at-home after-sales support anywhere in India for usage-related issues after installation.
