What is a thermostatic diverter?

It is a concealed shower valve that mixes hot and cold water to the temperature you set and sends it to your showers. The Aurora 4-Function runs 4 showers, each started with its own push button.

Does it work with an instant geyser or solar water heater?

Yes. It works with a storage geyser, an instant geyser or solar.

Can I run all the showers at the same time?

Yes. All-Showers-On: every outlet can run at the same time.

Which showers can I connect?

Any outlet can feed any shower. A typical setup is body jets, curtain shower, rain shower and hand shower; connect each outlet to the shower its symbol on the plate shows.

How do the outlet knobs work?

Push a knob to start that shower and push again to stop it. Turn the knob to set its flow.

What wall depth does it need?

80–90 mm including tile. The wall groove is 95 × 395 mm (H × W) and the tile opening 80 × 365 mm.

What size are the inlets and outlets?

Hot and cold inlets are 3/4 Inch (20 mm), G3/4. Outlets are 1/2 Inch (15 mm), G1/2.

How do I make sure hot and cold are connected correctly?

The body is marked Hot (left) and Cold (right), so your plumber connects each pipe to its own inlet. The pipes must be connected correctly. If the water is not hot enough, ask your plumber to check that the hot pipe is on the inlet marked Hot.

Can I install it myself?

No. A plumber and a mason are both needed: the body goes into the wall before tiling. Ruhe's Home Installation is plumber work only. Home Installation ₹1,999, available in serviceable cities (T&C).

Which cartridges does it use?

A French-engineered Vernet thermostatic cartridge and Neoperl push-button cartridges. Cartridge materials are suitable for drinking water supply.

Can the cartridges be replaced without breaking tiles?

Yes. Front-serviceable cartridges: they come out from the front, without breaking tiles.

Does it have filters?

Yes. Twin Filter Guard: inlet filters on the thermostatic cartridge catch dirt from the supply, and non-return valves on both inlets (Back-flow Lock) stop water flowing back. In hard-water areas, clean the inlet filters if the flow drops or the temperature becomes uneven. Turn off the water supply, remove the thermostatic knob and face plate, take out the cartridge and rinse its filters with a soft brush and white vinegar. If you'd rather we do it, book a paid service visit.

A Thermostatic Diverter for 4 Showers

The Aurora is a concealed thermostatic diverter: the body sits inside the wall and only a slim 304-Grade face plate shows. Set the water temperature once with the thermostatic handle, then push a knob to start each shower: typically body jets, curtain shower, rain shower and hand shower. Any outlet can feed any shower, and all 4 can run at the same time.

38°C Safety Stop and Scald Guard

The French-engineered Vernet thermostatic cartridge mixes hot and cold to the temperature you set. The handle stops at 38 °C; to go hotter, press the button on the handle and keep turning, to a maximum of 52 °C. If the cold water supply fails, the valve shuts off the hot water automatically, protecting you from scalding.

Push-and-Twist Controls

Each outlet has its own knob with a Neoperl push-button cartridge. Push to start that shower, push again to stop it, and turn the knob to set its flow. Each knob has a shower symbol above it; your plumber connects each outlet to the shower its symbol shows.

Front-serviceable cartridges and Twin Filter Guard

The cartridges come out from the front, so a plumber can service them without breaking tiles. Inlet filters on the thermostatic cartridge catch dirt from the supply, and non-return valves on both inlets (Back-flow Lock) stop water flowing back. Cartridge materials are suitable for drinking water supply.

Brass Inside, 304-Grade Steel Outside

Low-lead brass body and solid brass controls: the handle, knobs and push buttons are brass. The Flush-Fit Plate is 304-Grade stainless steel and sits flush on the tile. Choose Mirror-Finish Chrome (multi-layer chrome plating, salt spray tested, for a deep polished mirror shine), PVD Yellow Gold or Matt Black (e-coated).

No abrasive pads, acidic cleaners, limescale removers, vinegar or bleach on the finish.
