No. Its mirror shine is polished into the 304 stainless steel itself, so there is no plating that can peel or flake.
Will the Stark holder rust in a humid bathroom?
The whole Stark holder is 304-grade stainless steel, which is rust-resistant. To keep it looking new, wipe it dry after cleaning and do not use bleach, ammonia, chlorine, alcohol, industrial solvents, scouring powder, steel wool or wire brushes.
Does it fit jumbo toilet rolls?
Yes. Stark holds standard and jumbo household toilet rolls. It is not made for kitchen towel rolls.
Will my phone fit on the shelf?
The shelf is 140 x 96 mm (±5 mm) and is made for a phone and similar small, light items, such as a very small plant pot. It is not meant for heavy objects.
Can I fit it on the left side of the toilet?
Yes, as long as there is free wall space to the right of the holder. The roll arm opens on the right side only, so rolls slide on from the right; the holder cannot be fitted the other way round.
Does it need drilling?
Yes. Stark fixes to the wall with 2 stainless steel screws and 2 PVC dowels (gitti), both in the box. There is no adhesive option, and the screw heads stay visible on the back plate.
Can it be fitted on tiles?

At what height should I fit it?
A common guideline is about 660 mm (26 inches) from the floor to the centre of the roll, and 200 to 300 mm in front of the front edge of the toilet. Sit on the toilet and check the reach before drilling.
