Frequently Asked Questions

Handmade or pressed sink: what's the difference?

A handmade sink is welded with sharp corners and straight walls, so it holds more. A pressed (hydraulic) sink is pressed from one sheet with rounded corners and costs less.

Do handmade sinks come in 304-Grade and 202-Grade?

Many sizes come in both. Choose with the Grade button on the product page; 304-Grade resists stains and rust better.

What sizes are available?

Single bowls from 18 x 16 to 32 x 20 inches, double bowls from 32 x 18 to 45 x 20 inches, and single bowls with drainboard in 37 x 18 and 45 x 20 inches. Most are 10 inches deep.

Can a handmade sink be fitted under the counter?

Handmade sinks without a drainboard can be top-mount or undermount; tap-hole models need the counter drilled in line with the tap hole. Mounting clips are not included.

Are Matt Black handmade sinks painted?

No. The Matt Black handmade sinks are PVD coated, which bonds the colour to the steel.
