• Can this be used as a tap and for attaching a hand shower?

Yes. You can use this tap in your shower area to connect your hand shower to it and also use the other outlet as a regular bathroom tap.

• Is the inside portion of the tap also made of brass? 

Yes. The entire faucet is made up of brass ingot which is the pure quality of brass and is chrome plated. 

• Will it work in hard water areas or will it get damaged?

Yes. The brass faucets are compatible for usage in areas where there is hard water supply. 

• Is this suitable for a wash basin? 

Yes. If you have a countertop wash basin, then you can install the bib tap faucet on the adjacent wall. 

• What does quarter turn fitting tap mean?
